Training program design and implementation

I started at Fifth Third Bank as an Operations Manager, responsible for client payments and all HR functions for 42 standard and exceptions processors. One weekend each month we were required to have mandatory overtime while at other times either group of operators barely had work to do.

Instead of hiring more personnel and escalating labor costs, I created a dual operator position and promoted my top processors into the role. I designed a training program and authored employee manuals for both positions to standard procedures.

This new role and training program eliminated over 1640 hours of department overtime and shortened the payment processing cycle improving customer service
