Connecting the concept with cartoons

While getting my Master of Science in Childhood Education, my first grade Mentor told me the students were having trouble understanding nouns, adjectives and verbs. I came up with a unique idea using cartoon characters that represented those elements.

Meet Nomen. His 2 best friends call him "Nomen the Noun" because he loves to make people places and things.

Nomen is a really great guy but his nouns are a little boring on their own so he calls one of his 2 best friends, The Adjective artist. She loves making Nomen's nouns more interesting with words that describe his people, places and things.

But they still need the help of their third best friend, Super Verb. They call him Super "V" for short. Super "V" makes Nomen's nouns do all kinds of stuff.

Nomen and Super "V" make sentences and The Adjective Artist makes them more interesting!
